After five weeks, the company will donate five-percent of proceeds to the top-nominated charity. Actually, they'll be doing the giving, beer drinkers will simply be nominating the charities. Cans of High Five will be available in Washington, Montana and parts of Alaska, Oregon, and Idaho.īeyond that, Iron Horse has created a way to engage beer drinkers in charitable giving. The company plans to start canning its High Five Hefe, with six-packs of 12-ounce cans available next month. Iron Horse Brewery joins the growing list of Washington craft breweries packaging beer in aluminum cans. To give moral support to the Executive Director and staff. ![]() To carry out all delegated assignments promptly.To become acquainted with the office facilities and staff members, ensuring a more direct understanding of Family Solutions programs.To make suggestions to the Nominating Committee for new Board members.To implement through committee participation the immediate and long range objectives of the agency.To contribute, according to one’s own resources and other commitments, to the financial support of the agency.To serve on at least one committee of the Board.The individual board member is expected to become an active participant in an effective body and as such has an obligation to the following: Responsibilities of Individual Board Members Evaluate the overall program in relation to the community’s needs.Establish long range planning for the operation, growth and development of Family Solutions.Develop specific criteria for the evaluation of the Executive Director and conducts evaluation periodically.Develop specific criteria for the position of Executive Director and employ the Executive Director according to those criteria.Hold title to all properties and funds of Family Solutions, serving as trustees of these properties and funds.Propose and approve the budget for the agency’s operation.Make policies with respect to the program and personnel standards of the agency.Interpret the financial needs of the agency to fundraising groups and other organizations responsible for making budgetary appropriations plan and organize fund raising efforts.General responsibilities of the Board may include, but are not limited to, the following: It regularly examines the agency’s services to ensure that they agree with our mission own strategic plan. ![]() The primary responsibility of the Board of Directors is to establish the direction of Family Solutions in accord with the needs of the community and the expectations our current clientele. We ask that each Board member join one of the committees. Currently the active committees consist of Finance, Human Resources, Program, and Fundraising. Much of the work of the Board is completed outside of meeting time, through committees. The Board of Directors on the first Tuesday of every month from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at our downtown Vancouver location.
